Dr. Andrea Komkov , MS, DVM

    Veterinarian
I love to paint, and come from a family of artists. I have some of their work on display in the exam rooms of the clinic. I also enjoy geneology and spend a lot of my spare time on Ancestry researching my family history.  My greatest joy in veterinary medicine is the lifelong relationships I have enjoyed with so many of my clients. I have watched their children grow up and they now come in with pets of their own. I graduated from Texas A&M in 1985, and have a residency in Nuclear Medicine. I currently have two cats named Daphne and Dolly, but will end up with a dog soon, I am sure!

First allow me to tell you a little about myself prior to joining Dr. Komkov's awesome team. I have several years of experience at other clinics in the area. My devoted love for all animals has landed me in the wonderful field of veterinary care. I thoroughly enjoy meeting our awesome clients and their furry friends when they come to visit.  In addition to my position at the clinic, I am happy and proud to say that I have volunteered with Greyhounds Unlimited for 15 years. This group works very hard to find forever homes for retired rescued Greyhounds, in fact they introduced me to my first Greyhound 15 years ago. Since then I have adopted 3 Greyhounds into my family. Today, I have a Greyhound named Chase, an Italian Greyhound ,Lexi, and two Whippets, Claire Beth and Corey. Boy do they keep me busy, it's literally like raising children!  Sports is also a huge part of my life. I can't say enough about our Cowboys. I feel a Super Bowl win in the near future :)  I also enjoy cheering on the Mavericks and Texas Rangers each season.
